"I think the best advice I could give would be to remember what is the goal of your group. Whether it's to encourage each other, draw deeper to God, make God more evident in your school, or anything else - in everything that you do keep pushing toward that goal. Don't just start meeting because that's just 'what we do,' but keep in mind the goal of the group and why God has placed it in your school. Ask yourself what your group could do to better reach this goal and be prepared to do different things." Perry
"God transformed my inadequacies into His wonders. As you, the future leaders of campus groups, continue or begin a new year of leadership next fall, always remember that the best guidance comes from the Lord. Our own thoughts and ideas lack all eternal value when they are separated from His wondrous purpose. Look to Him in every endeavor. The results and beauty of His work will amaze you." Ben
"God gave me the means to lead. As a leader, He definitely leads you where He wants you to lead others. In Luke 21:14-15 Jesus said, 'Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer, for I will give you a moth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.' This passage says to me that whatever you're doing, you shouldn't worry about how you're going to make it work. God will provide the means." Jameson
"Campus Life has been an important part of my life these past few years. It is hard to leave it but I know that what I have worked for will not end. I have a group of amazing leaders and I have no doubt that they will make this group grow. God is doing something in this city and I want everyone to remember that. Keep going and don't give up on your school. Our schools are corrupted but we are the light in that darkness. So future leaders, keep seeking after God and He will use your group for great things." "Purity Revolution" in area schools! April 2010
Some schools took the "Purity Revolution" to their entire campus by setting up a table in their school hallways. Here are some reports from Campus High School:
"I liked seeing people who weren't Christian listen intently to the thought of saving yourself for marriage because that was what God wanted for them." Shane
"I thought at first that no one would commit to purity right before Prom. I was surprised to see many students who I did not know come to the table and sign a purity card." Dwight
"Many people thought the Purity Revolution table was cool and most of them that came up already had purity rings, but some of them were a little adamant and looked at us funny but once they heard what we had to say they didn't look at us quite as funny." Lindsey
"I was surprised by how many people signed commitment cards. I hope all of them really meant it because that would make an awesome impact." Laticia
"From this day forward, with God's help, I make a commitment to sexual purity until the day I enter marriage."
gospell Wichita - Impacts area students! March 2010
Over 1,700 individuals got to experience godspell Wichita and the powerful portrayal of the gospel of Matthew brought to the Wichita Orpheum Theater by the Highland Acting Company on March 12-13th. Below are a couple of reports from students who brought their friends in order to share the gospel with them.
"I brought three friends to godspell. One had many questions that stopped her from believing in God. Another was Muslim. The third person just didn't believe in God at all. Through the production I would look over and see them so engrossed in the actions on stage that their eyes did not even blink. I had to leave before the second half and I expected they would come with me, but when I said I had to leave, they asked if they could stay. I was shocked. But, of course I said yes and told them to call me later that night or the next day and tell me what they thought. Two of them called. My Muslim friend had many questions and wanted to seek out some answers. My friend with many questions actually found some answers during godspell. I still see God moving in their lives and changing their hearts!" Heights HS Student
"Godspell was an amazing experience. Even for me, who was raised in the Lutheran Church and knew the story. I was brought to laughter, awe and almost tears throughout the show. But I was even more amazing with the reaction of my friend. He was raised Buddhist and I had been witnessing to him for a couple of weeks. The musical really brought the story of Christ to life for him. I knew godspell was based on the Gospel of Matthew so I had him start reading Matthew before the event. And that, along with the visual aid that the show provided, and being on isle seats when they carried out the crucified Jesus Christ. All of this made my friend realize how Jesus suffered and what God did by giving his only Son so that we might be saved. It really cleared up a lot of questions he had. It was definitely worth it. And the new act that they wrote was just as amazing as the original acts. I would recommend godspell Wichita to everyone, but especially for those who you are witnessing to potential or new converts." North HS Student
East HS student shares his faith! February 2010
"In one of my classes a few students and I were having a discussion about our faith and one friend told me he was Southern Baptist. I asked him what he believed was the way to heaven. He paused for a while and then he said he thought being a good person was how you get to heaven. I asked him if he believed in Jesus and he said he did. I told him that good deeds alone couldn't get you into heaven. Only through Jesus can you go to heaven. When I told him he was wrong, he first seemed kind of shocked, but then became curious. After that he began to ask me more questions.
My Muslim friend also believed that through being a good person he would be saved as well as other things. I asked my Muslim friend if he had a testimony about his faith and what God had done for him. He told me he didn't. Then I asked him if it was his beliefs or his parent's beliefs. He replied that it was what his parents had told him to believe. I told him about Jesus and I am still praying for another opportunity to talk to him about Jesus.
Another friend thought that if he drinks and parties he will be okay because his God forgives no matter what. He said that his God was Jesus. I questioned him more about his Jesus but he seemed to have a shaky faith and lack of knowledge. I shared verses from the Bible about certain sins but he refused to accept them. He asked me how I know that the Bible is right. He also asked how do we know who will be saved.
There are those who claim to believe in God, but they are fooled into believing lies! That is why I want to speak more boldly and faithfully for God. I do not want my friends to go to hell. I want them to be with me in heaven. I pray every day for my friends."

Student baptism impacts a peer! January 2010
Just this week I was visiting with a young student in our city named Conor. He was eager to share with me that he was going to be baptized today. Conor was very excited about making this public profession of his faith. He went on to tell me of a conversation with a fellow student who didn't share his belief in God. Yet in seeing Connor's enthusiasm about his upcoming batpism he suddenly became interested. He wanted to know more about this God that Connor serves.
